However, the uptake of climate services faces several barriers, including the challenge of recognising and integrating the local knowledge and customs of users. In this session we explore the roles and use of local knowledge in climate services: What constitutes local knowledge? Who are the holders and what dimensions does local knowledge have, and how can it be considered? We explore these questions in short introductory presentations, and an exchange of insights and experiences in a World Caf\u00e9 setting. Finally, we put our knowledge to action in a serious game. Will local knowledge be a winning strategy?
