In this session, we will invite countries interested in embarking a journey to strengthen their built environment and discuss concrete opportunities that the World Bank and GFDRR can support. Participating countries with an interest in this area will be proposed by task teams who will bring in clients to UR.  Specific challenges will focus on country specific priorities, but some examples could include: \u2022\tDeveloping and adapting country specific hazard and risk information for building design codes to improve resilience of the built environment to disasters and the impacts of the climate change;                                                                                                  \u2022\tLessons learned and strategies for improved building code implementation, including compliance mechanisms; and \u2022\tConsiderations for adopting international codes: how to successful tailor and adapt international codes for a new country context.
