Dr Funda Atun is an urban planner with a track record in the field of societal resilience, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. Additionally, her research focus includes increasing disaster awareness of disadvantaged people, i.e children, migrants, and women. She works at the University of Twente (UT) as an Assistant Professor of strategic Spatial Planning, She is currently co-coordinator of the PARATUS project that involves 19 institutions in 12 countries.
