James Tefft works for the FAO Investment Centre in Rome, Italy, where he manages programmes on agrifood systems and sustainable cocoa. He spent a number of years as the FAO Investment Centre’s liaison officer to the World Bank, based in Washington, DC and working on urban food system issues. He also served as the FAO Senior Policy Officer for the Africa Region. Before joining FAO, Jim worked on Michigan State University’s Food Security Project in sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on agricultural commodity value chains, market information systems and linkages between agricultural productivity growth and child malnutrition.
