Jo Read is a chartered engineer and PRINCE2-qualified project manager with 14 years’ experience managing complex engineering projects both in the UK private sector and in humanitarian and development contexts. Jo’s work in the flood risk management and mitigation sector with JBA Consulting includes the development of Strategic Outline Cases for the UK Government and the engineering design of flood defense structures. She is currently leading JBA’s work on World Bank projects for flood hazard and risk management in Burundi and Romania. Prior to joining JBA, Jo worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross, implementing engineering projects and emergency response strategies in numerous countries across Africa and Asia.
