Marta has developed her carrier within the civil engineering and environmental consultancy field, where she has specialized in risk-based asset management of transportation infrastructures. She received a bachelor and master’s degree in the field of civil and structural engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, both from the University Alfonso X in Madrid, Spain. She has been actively involved in the development of risk assessment methodologies in order to analyze the risk of infrastructure against natural hazards and the impacts derived from climate change, working as a consultant in several projects financed by the World Bank around the globe.
