Dr. Mercy Mbise holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering and a PhD degree in
Electronic Systems Engineering, both from University of Essex, United Kingdom. She is currently a
lecturer and Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department, College of ICT, University of Dar
es Salaam (UDSM). She has been in involved in various ICT4D and research projects at local and
international levels. Her research interests include multimedia networking, e-learning applications and
geospatial ICT technologies. She is the coordinator of Geo-ICT4e and Resilience Academy projects at
UDSM.
