Mesfin Addisu Zike was born in 1967 in Addis Ababa where he attended primary and secondary school. He joined in Awassa Agricultural college and graduated in Agricultural Engineering and Technology. He was then employed in the Ministry of Agriculture and worked over 20 years as soil and water conservation, water harvesting, and watershed management expert in Eastern Hararege zone of Oromia region and Dire Dawa Administration. Mesfin holds a B.A degree in Natural Resource Conservation. He currently works in Dire Dawa Administration City Manager Office UIIDP Unit in the Position Urban Resilience & Disaster Risk Management Specialist.
