Director of Global Advocacy / Build Change

Monica Schroeder elevates the issue of resilient housing and prevention of housing loss in global policy forums and conferences with a variety of stakeholders. She has led Build Change’s engagement with UN agencies and the World Economic Forum, and coordinates with multiple communities of practice on climate change, disaster risk, and housing and urbanization. Prior to joining Build Change, Monica advised nonprofit organizations on the design and implementation of advocacy campaigns on issues such as environmental pollution, anti-corruption, free and fair elections, and women’s political participation.
