Climate Change Specialist / City of Ekurhuleni

Nokuthula Dubazane is a Climate Change Specialist for the City of Ekurhuleni’s Environmental Resource and Waste Management Department. Ms Dubazane has over 11 years of work experience in the climate change and resilience field attained from various roles in the NGOs, private consulting, government and local government sectors.
As a Climate Change Specialist her role entails: providing technical information, strategic direction and leadership regarding climate change and resilience, ensuring that these are integrated across City Departments; contributing to the design and development of climate change and resilience plans, policies, strategies, programs and projects; and maintaining a good relationship with the Cities stakeholders such as National Departments, international partners, provincial stakeholders, and the public. She studied at the University of Cape Town and University of KwaZulu-Natal.
